Nice deal for a case with a modern layout (hard drive bays mounted side-to-side, PSU on bottom, large CPU cutout, venting on top, and cable management)

It's not tool-less, but for $30, it is a heck of a nice case.

Cooling sucks, they should have made a filtered front but nooo it's a freaking solid wall. Read the reviews, it's near the bottom for cooling. Would be okay for a low-powered HTPC or something like that.

If you utilize more fan locations such as the bottom and sides it will cool every bit as good as the 300r.

The front is filtered through the sides I believe.

Interestingly, they come out with a strong recommendation in favor of the 200R, despite its inferior cooling performance.

Definitely seems like a steal at $30AR - they were judging it at $70.

What made it more interesting since I was considering this case yesterday at $55 shipped (Encore Tuesday special) This morning it was $70 shipped and then at noon it went to $50 shipped.

Well, for $30 after rebate, you could do worse than this case. I like them black and thick (8+ inches), without a lot of bling or attachments or flashing lights, and this fits the bill. Even with its front airflow deficiencies, it should give adequate airflow for low-powered/HTPC systems, and the thickness means clearance for tower coolers as well as about .71 inches of space behind the motherboard in which to stow cables.

If you are planning to run a higher-end build, the stock configuration kinda sucks. Bit-tech said temps dropped 6-9 degrees C just by taking the front cover off. The front fan can't really get much air through the sides and it really hurts the temperatures.

But you are right that if you mount some side fans it will probably be okayish. If you have decent fans at other mount points, bottom/top fans don't do much in my experience.

If I was looking for a case I would definitely jump on this, already have a 300 in the house and have been mostly happy with it. just wish corsair included a usb 3.0 to 2.0 adapter for older motherboards.

Thanks for the tip, I ordered it last week, arrived yesterday, and I'm pretty darn pleased with it. Very solid feeling, and very easy to work in. Looks elegant by my desk to boot.
