The problems with most James Bond movies is with the script and production values (they were really low in a lot of Roger Moore shitfests), not with the actor. Brosnan could have been a great Bond, but the scripts were mostly terrible. The problems with QoS stem from the script, and it seems from this thread and the previews that I've seen it's the same with SkyFall.
