Nobody is sure ,
Yet I continually hear how things were better 30-40 years ago, the rich paid more taxes, 2 parent households were the norm, obesity was rare, jobs were plentiful, education was better, you didn't go broke coming out of college, union jobs with pensions were plentiful, the middle class was thriving, gas was cheap, Made in America was the norm, healthcare was usually 100% paid by the employer, etc. etc.

And yet they had to walk to school with out shoes, in the snow, uphill, both ways.

How do you have bastard children without premarital sex?

Having an abortion is inconsistent with that view. So they're stupid if they have an abortion, but not having an abortion (if it is illegal) is also stupid (according to your prior post). Sounds like no matter what behavior they engage in you think they're stupid.

Well considering that 53% of mothers need the federal government to help feed their infant...
You do the math.

Do you think these women are smart or stupid? If you think they're smart, then what I said is your argument. If you think they're stupid, then why do you assume they will make the logical choice based on your law?

Turkey baster
Premarital sex is largely a necessary, but insufficient condition for having a bastard child. Even with premarital sex women can prevent bastard children with essentially 100% certainty

Well they could not engage in pre-marital sex. Seems like then they would have no need for an abortion.
Engaging in pre-marital sex(or at least say sex with someone you wouldn't marry if a pregnancy occurred), but being opposed to abortion is stupid.

I would say the women are very similar to Wall St. bankers.
They are making a decision that is essentially inconsistent with reality without government bailouts.
If making a bad decision results in the government handing you money why not make that bad decisions. If making a bad decision results in you going to jail, and you have plenty of time to consider and make the right decision why would you make the bad decision?

30-40+ years ago:
No one paid the top marginal tax rate. In fact the wealthy had a lot more access to deductions and tax breaks to shelter their money.
At most union and union workers only ever comprised 25% of the labor force in the US at their peak era.
The Department of Education did not even exist up until the 70's and there was no added pressure on states to fund mandates they could not afford or to implement a political agenda on schools from the Feds on down to local schools.
Normally ineligible students were not gullibly led into perusing a college education they could not afford or pass. In addition college loans were not backed up by the federal government.
We still had unemployment and unemployed people. The Health care system was less subsidized back then it was today.
And lastly gas was cheap due to a strong dollar policy which allowed more people to stretch out their earnings which led to a strong purchasing power for the average American.
Edit: The issues being asked by the OP are as pertinent as those issues stemming around the 2nd amendment and the falsehood of more regulations on the rights of law abiding citizens on this right as being the cure all that will protect us from every crazy psychopath from here on out.

inconceivably retarded. profoundly, and utterly naive.
greater than 90% of children in this country depend on public education. This country was built on our public education system.
Public Education built our spaceships, it sent us to the motherfucking moon. It built everything you see. It made this country what it is.
Are there real problems in the way the current system is implemented? sure, absolutely. Is the solution to replace it with a completely privatized, profit-driven system designed to shell out uncreative, unmotivated, automotons like you see in China and Japan? (to whom we are constantly being compared--and always have--and whose standardized score rankings have done nothing to create serious innovators and leaders like our system has)
