H60(v2) or a H70
Hi, I've still not decided whether to get a H60 v2 or a H70. Another option could be fine, but it has to be 120mm as that's the fan in my sugo05.
The H70 has a more massive radiator so it has better cooling capability, but the v2 of the H60 does seem to come with a good fan and it supposedly has an improved pump. Anyone know how major the latter is? Will it mean a lot for how quiet the system is, and for how long I can expect the cooler to last?

Well, I have a H70, but I supplied my own fans. The pump is audible, but only if the case door is open or if all other fans are down, otherwise it's decently quiet.

Good to hear. My psu fan will likely be louder then. What temperatures are you getting on your 3570k under load at that OC? I'll just be using one fan, thinking the corsair sp120 if I go for the H70.

H60 largely caught up with the H70 in cooling performance due to improvements in other components, the larger rad of the H70 goes to waste, I'd definitely go with the H60, especially the v2.
As far how long it will last, I still have an original H50 on an old Q9450 that's been going strong for several years now.

Agree with above comment.
Go for the H60. There is hardly any performance difference for anyone to even seriously consider the h70 for the extra cost. The h80 is really the next considerable jump in performance even worth looking at. If you have spare fan lying around, you can add it to run push pull. Of course, it helps more if it's optimized to static pressure.

Borrowing this topic a little
I can get the H70(with a 120mm fan included) for roughly 10-15 USD less than what the H60 v2 is available for. I guess going with the H70 is the wiser choice in this case?
I've also eyed the cooler master evo 212(around half the price), and while it seems to be a bit worse, I haven't found a direct comparison between them in the reviews.

If its for 10 dollars less, then h70 and spend that extra money on some gts

H60 or jump up to the H80 as far as overall performance goes. Personally, if using the SG05 as the case I'd go H60 but thats just me. Its the ideal water cooler currently for that small case.

H70 is old.
I would get the H60v2.

Anyone have experience with the Zalman AIO water coolers? They look like standard Asetek units and the lowest end LQ-310 is $30 shipped after rebate through today (1/2).

The install looks like it would be identical to my Thermaltake Water 2.0 Performer and it's an easy install for a current motherboards. Not a good fit to LGA775 unless you aren't afraid to get your dremel/metal file out.
