Again: details. Notice those sites have credit card logos all over them. I doubt they care much which way they scam you.

You first have to enter a whole slew of personal info before you get to any pay pal link (you do realize that entering ANY information on a web form directly on a site is sending the info to the site owner, don't you?) and who even knows if it actually links to a legit paypal, or just another site form to extract more info from you? (I'm certainly not going to enter any info on such a bogus site to find out. You shouldn't either.)

Clearly you had suspicions yourself about these sites or I'm guessing you wouldn't have asked about this here. Any number of things scream bogus, but if keywords like 'crack' and 'keygen' don't give you a clue about the legitimacy of the actual serials they're trying to sell, then I don't know what would.

I'd only ever buy an OS or license from a known-legit/trusted seller like Newegg, Amazon, etc. Buying it anywhere else, and certainly from this type of bogus place is just asking for a rip off.

ok how about these guys:

http://www.fsdodocfmhay.jet-software...timate-64-bit/

they're offering win7 Ultimate oem for $99.95 (and Office 2010 for $149.99, which is the normal pirce). They have listed contact info, toll free number, 24/7 support, everything! I tried putting their name through the "whois" search site but nothing came up.:p

are they legit?

Seriously? If you're short on money, use something like Linux Mint. Even if you aren't short on money, it's software that respects your freedom. Otherwise, buy from Newegg.

No. Win7 Ultimate OEM has a distributor price of $175. MS does not sell Win7 Ultimate for $99, period.

Furthermore the site was created 2 months ago. You tell me if a 2 month old Croatian software sales site is legitimate...

Now if you're willing to pay $99 for Windows, that is in fact the distributor price for Windows 7 Home Premium OEM and Windows 8 Core.

LOL, a serious company uses URL like this - http://www.fsdodocfmhay.jet-software.net

But then calls itself Soft Buy.

Domain Name: JET-SOFTWARE.NET
Registrar: NICS TELEKOMUNIKASYON TICARET LTD.STI.
Whois Server: whois.nicproxy.com
Referral URL: http://www.nicproxy.com
Name Server: NS1.JET-SOFTWARE.NET
Name Server: NS2.JET-SOFTWARE.NET
Status: ok
Updated Date: 01-nov-2012
Creation Date: 01-nov-2012
Expiration Date: 01-nov-2013

Registered in Turkey on a server that has the word Proxy in its name, started in Nov. 2012 (just for our Holidays) and pay only for one year.

Combining with the sale of Win7 Ultimate for $99, Yeah Looks like Verrry... Legit (j/k) - - .

98% of what you hear is pure Drama Queening/Kinging (similar to what was going on 100 hundreds year ago when switching from horses to cars).

If you do nor want the Metro you can use this Freeware and it will be very similar to Win 7 and slightly faster.
