Any Killing Floor Players
I'm really into this game right now. I don't know exactly why, maybe it's the Zombies, the teamwork, the choices of player classes, rank and weapons. Also the game has several skill levels to make it more interesting as you get better and a wide range of available maps for different skill sets...
Anyone into it?

You missed one: Killing Floor just feels damn good to play. Tripwire is masterful at creating chunky, realistic gun mechanics. The weapons are plain satisfying to shoot.
My favorite weapon is actually the lever action rifle.

Me and two friends play it on and off. Usually it's the holiday/themed events that get us playing more, then move onto other stuff after a few weeks. I'm a big fan of Support Specialist and Medic.

Love this game. Have a lot of time in the game but haven't been on it in a while. I did purchase the weapons pack (at a big discount). It gets pretty nutty at the really high difficulties. Favorite class is the berserker.

Support Specialist was my first class to reach level 6.. I really enjoy that class.. now i'm working on my Commando class. Up to level 4 now.
What difficulty do you guys play? I'm always on Hard but stepping up to the next level seems like too much for now.

I usually play on hoe or suicidal. All my classes are level 6 except for med and firebug. On suicidal monsters move crazy fast so you have to kite more. Money gets real scarce also. I like how there's a whitelist so you can level up on custom maps.

What do you mean kite?.. lead them away? I don't quite understand what the purpose of that is..?

Well strafing between and around monsters while attacking. Also leading them away. The reason being is the monsters move at a much faster rate at the higher levels and they can hold you longer. If you let them group together you'll get swarmed and will die in seconds. You can't stun scrakes with a katana so what works well is another guy distracting him while you axe him to the back of the neck before he rages too much. Meanwhile kiting between whatever monters are nearby.
A good berserker can solo a Fleshpound but the process is axe once or twice. Strafe back to avoid slap back. Kite around monsters while he chases you. Repeat. You're trying to avoid raging him. I think he'll autorage at times for some reason so you need to run away like crazy to minimize damage in those situations. Sometimes you'll get 2 fleshpounds + a scrake combo so it helps for someone to kite and distract one of fps while everyone kills the other stuff. Two fps at once can be tough. I haven't played in a while so my strats could be off or obselete now.

I play once in a blue moon, usually when they do their tremendous patches (promotions, Christmas, etc).
The game is simple in its design, but the guns feel so balanced AND it promotes co-op better than most games out there.

Love it but haven't played in awhile, do they bring back the Xmas stuff every year? I bought it last Xmas and loved hearing the evil robotic HO HO HO.

They have every year, I'm expecting they'll do the same again this time around.

I played this game a lot for quite awhile, got all my classes up to level 6. I mostly played on hard. I kept trying suicidal but there really isn't much room for any weak players on the team beyond hard so it could get pretty frustrating. Plus as another guy mentioned a lot of tricks just don't work anymore at that setting so its kind of a large bump.
All the classes are pretty good but Firebug seems pretty underdeveloped and overlaps with the commando in purpose.
I actually leveled medic up first because I'd start as medic, buy and MP5 and then switch to a heavy hitter class in the harder rounds. The mp5 is a good backup weapon because of its weight and being able to heal all the time was handy.
Maybe I'll jump back in since I got kind of tired of Mount and Blade.

Have you leveled any class up to 6 yet? Have you played some of the harder maps? I have a friend who is just starting out.. he complains that it is boring.. but when you play on a good team it can get boring.. I like to change it up and try new classes/weapons and play solo sometimes on more difficult maps. There are tons of options with this game.. I can't see how it would get boring.

I don't think I see the point in that new Schneidzekk medic gun. It would be alright, but the recoil is kind of high and the ironsights are absolutely atrocious.
New map is pretty neat, though the low grav makes it pretty easy to survive as long as you've got somewhere to jump.
