Amazing yes, that isn't the point. He can't be "Comeback player of the year" because he isn't eligible for it, he was never out, he never "came back"
End of story

"The player named Comeback Player of the Year shows perseverance in overcoming adversity, in the form of not being in the NFL the previous year, a severe injury, or simply poor performance."
There are people who have won it in the past who played the season before..

Interesting wordage, I think my point still stands. Manning will win it based on the fact he missed a whole season and came back as strong as ever. AP did the same thing, granted, but at a much younger age and without missing any time. I will give it to him for doing something that is more difficult at the running back position, but Manning will win it.

Isn't CPOTY more about someone reestablishing success? I don't recall it gong to people simply because they were injured, but that they were mediocre for a season or two, then exploded that season.

Manning will win it because in this day of the NFL, QBs win all the awards.

I'd like them to share, if for no other reason than Manning can't win a major award without having to share it.

He'll win MVP too, so that won't be a problem

you are a very confident individual. Just like you were about the value of Tebow last season...

Don't worry, Manning will lose the MVP to the first defensive player receiving the award in history.
He already knows something about that....

I'm still confident about his value. If the Jets started him, he would have won games for them that they've lost because of Sanchez. All he needs is someone to give him a chance.
He should have gone to Jax where he would have been the starter most of the season and actually won some games

Who, Von Miller? Because I'm fine with that.

The NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award has been given out after every season since 1972 (except for 1985) by Pro Football Weekly. The player named Comeback Player of the Year shows perseverance in overcoming adversity, in the form of not being in the NFL the previous year, a severe injury, or simply poor performance. Beginning in 1992 the Pro Football Writers of America and Pro Football Weekly combined for their awards, including the comeback player of the year, and it continues to this day.
