I found this while cleaning a closet. Does anyone know what it might be? The USB is micro.

No Markings on the bottom? On the end of the unit (opposite Usb) is there anything to plug into?
Wonder if it could be some sort of emergency battery backup for phones.

There is no markings or prints. Nothing whatsoever. I think it has something to do with phones. (most of my stuff that's got micro-USB ports are phones/headsets)

Plug it in your phone and see if you show a charging icon.

Will do as soon as I get home. Won't damage the phone, I suppose?

OK. I must have been lost. I thought it was micro-USB, but it's not. It's mini-USB. Jesus I am a total idiot.
Though now I have a lot more devices to try out to determine just what the heck this thing is. I tried it on a camera and it did nothing. Could this be some sort of IR sensor?

If it's an IR sensor, then where is the lens?... Also for future note, more than one picture would be preferable.
1. Battery (given the Do Not Dispose icon)
Assuming there is a lens on the other side:
2. Thumb/Fingerprint Scanner
3. Normal Image Scanner (yes they can come that small)
Assuming possibly anything on the other side:
4. collapsible plug-in.
Assuming there is something on the end:
Mini USB to:
5. HDMI
6. Power Adapter
Assuming anything:
7. Vibrator

Is there a socket on the other end of the big part?

Right now only thing that I have with a mini-USB receptacle is a camera. (I thought I had a lot.. lol) I plugged it in and it does nothing.. I don't know what else I might have had in the past that took this. It's a mystery.
I will see if I can find an adapter and connect it to a PC.

I can take more pictures. Should I flip it upside down? But there is absolutely nothing under there.
Edit: It was in this bag. I didn't pay attention that there was a sticker.
Edit 2: Oh wow there is a round hole at the end of the black nugget. It looks like the size of 3.5mm audio jack? I will try that and also try if I can take a picture of it.
Edit 3: No, it's not the size of 3.5mm audio jack. It's a smaller hole.

My wife's current phone uses a micro USB charging/data cable (like most all makers do, except for Apple). Her previous Samsung model used mini USB. Would like to see a picture of that hole on the end of that nugget.
