Default How do I make a CF card bootable

I'm trying to flash my video card with a new BIOS, and I don't have access to a floppy drive, and I couldn't get into NVFLASH from a bootable cd for some reason.

Is there anything special I need to do to make my CF card bootable (using a USB card reader)? When I set the boot device to the card reader in the BIOS it gets to the verifying DMI pool data stage and just stops...

Download the utility at this LINK - it's an HP Utility to format a USB memory stick and make it bootable(if you so choose). Just follow the prompts - very easy to set up. I've used it on MANY different manufacturer's memory sticks and all have worked great, as well as some CF card reader adapters for USB.

That did the trick, although I did have to download some additional DOS system files, thank you sir.

Glad I was able to help some folks out.

With the advent of many PCs now supporting USB bootable devices, I saw this as a great way to configure USB bootable memory sticks with the necessary drivers and DOS-based GHOST client so I could very quickly boot up a station and either connect to a Ghost server or just GHOST locally from one drive to another.
