It could mean the wheel center lines are not inline from front to rear. I haven't hear this term used in rims or wheels. I have hear of it on suspensions.

It means the rear wheels and the front wheels are different sizes.

For example:
285/60R16 front
295/65R16 rear

are you fwd or rwd? there's no real point for a staggered setup for fwd's... and as for rwd's, a staggered setup will give you a little more traction, but you'll notice it'll be a llittle easier to get understeer... just a little fyi

Not too sure on the tires, but itl'l be either 18x7.5 ? or 18x8 I think 18x8 might need a lil modification tho.

I think my stocks are 17x7 or 17x7.5 right now.

Tires i'll prolly get Yoko's

Yea I gotta make sure it wont rub.
IS300
I gotta visit the forum to see which one would fit perfectly.

I was thinking about 17" GT-C's but that's not much of an upgrade from my stock rims.

Most likely Yokohoma AVS ES100's not too sure on the size

not wrong w/ 17's... i'm runnin' 16's rite now i might upgrade to a spare set of rims my friend has... he says they're 94 nsx rims, 17's in the front, 18's in the rear, but from what i gather, acura never offered an nsx w/ 17's & 18's, they're all 16's & 17's...

what width in the front and rear?

unless you're going really wide and w/ the 18's i would suggest a different tire... me personally, i cant' stand those tires... pissed the fvck out of me... couldn't hold worth crap in the front or the rear... if you go w/ 17's, pick up some falken azenis sports... you'll stick to the ground like no other... (assuming you're in an area that doesn't see too much rain). People say they're bad in the rain, but really, they're not... they're not AWESEME in the rain, but they're decent... but in dry conditions... you're stuck to the ground... my 205/55/16's stuck me at the track better than any other street tire with the exception of maybe pole position s02's... or r-compound tires... but you don't want to run r-compound tires on the street.

i meant the new ones... if ur stock rims are 17x7.5, you'll prob'ly be fine going to an 18x8 or 18x8.5 as long as you have enough of an offset... do you drive ur car hard through the corners? are you worried about rubbing the fenders w/ ur tires?

LoL I drive it like I stole it 50% of the times

I dont want it to rub when I make sharp turns so I think 18x8.5s would be out.

It's only gonna be used during the Summer. I've heard good things about them.

What's wrong with the Yoko's ?

I'll have dedicated winter rims.

I like the Potenza's but these tires are mad loot. like 150 per tire for the 17" I can't even imagine what the 18"s will go for.

I wouldn't mind having Toyo Proxies or something but those are pretty $$$ as well.

damn, at 150/tire, you're overpaying... i can get r-compound racing tires for that price... like toyo proxes ra-1's for like 160... sheesh...

with the yokos, i've found that the sidewalls are pretty soft, and the tires themselves don't hold too well when driven hard... they don't chunk or anything, but they don't grab the road well for someone who's driving their car like they stole it...
