They will huff and puff out the door only to sit down on the door step to catch their breath.

I also love all these neckbeard types that are 350 lbs out of shape stockpiling guns and food for a revolution or zombie invasion, talking about their bugout bags, etc, and they can't even walk to their mailbox without getting winded.

Take a look at our history of civil unrest in this country. The first thing that goes is the local police. They are woefully unprepared to deal with real civil unrest. Once the police are out of the way the rebels have a limited area of operation to conduct themselves. Once the national guard is mobilized and possibly federal troops to quell the uprising. The live video shots will be of an army decimating neighborhoods around the country. This could have an affect on the rest of the nation and feed the uprising.

It'll never happen. There are too many NSA/undercover/etc. embedded in those groups. Long before any long range plan becomes possible, it'll be squashed. We already see examples where some moron attempts to do some massive amount of destruction somewhere, and he's caught because undercover/whatever three letter agency helped him carry out his "attack." Without their help, the moron wasn't anywhere close to having a long range plan that would actually work. But, long, long, before he would have been able to actually carry out such a real attack - one that it's generally doubtful that he'd ever be able to do - he's tossed in FPMITAP.

There was a news story a few months ago about a guy who found a 10 year old mcdonalds cheeseburger in a coat pocket.

The burger looked like it was made yesterday.

It won't be a isolated fringe extremist group planning for years in a real unrest. It will be "shots heard around the world" simultaneously in multiple neighborhoods across the country as normal desperate people everywhere are simply fed up and won't take any more shit. This thread is talking about true civil unrest. Not extremist groups.

Once a couple uniforms are lying in the street, and the neighbors start to help out sniping out their windows with hunting rifles when reinforcements arrive, and more people are emboldened one by one , it will snowball out of controll.

Pfft! Armed with what? Cellphones to 'tweet' their enemies to death?

The only way there'd be a revolution among most of the crybaby Americans is if it's sponsored by Coke, Nike and McDonalds and there's the promise of a free iPhone.

And of course, even once big corporate sponsors make it happen, it won't be a revolt AGAINST the government, it'll be a 'revolt' against other private citizens IN FAVOR of an even more powerful, aggressive, irresponsible and out of control government.

Then the very people screaming like assholes will be surprised when exactly what they're demanding shows up with pepper spray, rubber bullets and billyclubs them over the head.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

That's 'revolution' lazy US deadbeat style. Brought to you by Taco Bell.

It is not the police the public will be fighting against, but rather the law makers.

With todays shooting at the naval base in DC, I think it is just a matter of time before a small group (or even a single person) goes after congress.

Its whoever "follows orders" and attempts to strip the people of their life, liberty, or property.

Law makers aren't going to do it themselves.

Again, I use Prohibition as an example.

Fat and lazy ends if a small group disrupts supply routes. I mean, how many people does it take? September 11th was a mere 19 and the consequences / retribution was enormous.

Anarchy is just an empty store shelf away.

Rubber bullets lol.

Hypothetically speaking, it won't be rubber bullets in my 300 Win Mag thats piercing body armor and riot shields like tissue paper.

Also as we saw with the looming assault weapon legislation following Sandy Hook, which was a good litmus test on where loyalties lie, a disproportionately large percentage of states and law enforcement agencies and military personal side with the people and the constitution. How many sheriffs in how many states publicly told off the feds and said FU in regards to a gun ban and violating peoples rights?

Don't kid yourself that big government doesn't have plenty of real bullets too. They're stockpiling record numbers of them.

Most people that are pro-2nd amendment and actually know the constitution aren't really the 'start a revolution' types. They're too busy going to work and taking care of their families. Those are people that realize we already had a revolution, just we've deviated too far from it.

The type that thinks they're going to have a revolution today are mostly jerkoffs that are afraid of their fellow citizens having guns, and that only want their precious government to have them.

People that think centralized powers don't know how to deal with the issue of getting one set of citizens to bash in the skulls of another set simply don't understand how centralized authorities work. But sure, keep dreaming. In dictatorial regimes, centralized power rewards those that relish busting the heads of their fellow citizens, and it does a great job of separating local sentiment from the centralized power- in fact, that's the whole point of centralized power.

Basically, the person driving the tank running over some student in a city square hasn't been sent there from that town, and they didn't go to whatever school- they're from somewhere else operating under loyalty to the centralized authority. They not only don't have a problem driving a tank over some student- they enjoy it and know they'll be rewarded for it.

Likewise, those lining up in riot gear to bash in the skulls of some idiots DEMANDING a bigger, more centralized government, will get exactly the results of what they wish for: a bigger more centralized government that doesn't give two shits about them other than as vote/cash-cows, and as fodder to be mowed down if they step too far out of line.

If you've read "The Hunger Games" what actually rings true in that the setup is exactly how centralized authorities work: districts that hate each other, and a centralized authority that cares even less. You don't send people from district 1 to put down a riot there, you send the people that despise them from district 3. As the central authority, you play all sides like complete dumbasses against each other. In practice (see every other dictatorship on earth) it works perfectly.

We're no different. In fact, as I keep pointing out, most idiot's idea of 'revolution' here isn't for more freedom from a repressive regime- it's demanding to further increase the size and power of a repressive regime with less freedoms for themselves.

The revolter wannabes don't even realize that if their wildest wet dreams were to come true and they could take over the country things will be 10 times worse than they are now. What are you going to do for the most basic of necessities? It's not like there are hundreds of thousands of elk and deer walking through Chicago and NY City to hunt and eat. How are you going to feed the millions of people? You are going to need those giant corporations you are fighting against for your most basic of needs. I know, I know, just have the revolt and figure it all out later right?

^ The sad thing is, this has actually happened many times the world over. Dipshits actually wear t-shirts around with images of their favorite 'revolutionary' who fought to turn a country into an absolute shithole, and died in the jungles of another after the populace there extended the smackdown. That wretched track record is the worldwide symbol of international loser 'revolution'.

Those dreaming of revolution never know what the hell to do even if they accidentally succeed once like their hero did. Mostly all they do is take something that maybe halfway sucks and turn it into something that totally, completely, undoubtably sucks.

Correct. The only historical examples of a mass "uprising" in our history is in 1776 and 1860. There have been riots, civil disobedience and slave revolts, but met the end of the above points.

As was pointed out in another post, people in general, and US states individually, are no where near radicalized enough to want a civil war.

Look at the factors that induce public dissatisfaction, insugencies, and civil war, the US isn't even close.
