He's a beast, and not a jerk about it either. Nice that he came out to cheer you all on. That's cool in my book.

5.1 miles along the lakefront, it was cool and breezy out. Very nice run, Strava says my best half mile split yet (only been using it for a few months now).

Got all dizzy after 2 quick miles on Wednesday and had to stop. Heart rate was ok and my pulse felt nice and strong. Not sure what happened. Took a break yesterday and did 13.1 pace run today, felt great.

13.7 miles this morning. Dressed for 30 degrees, was 60 degrees actually. Summer weather training now so I won't suffer like I did last year.

+ 66 for me.
Thanks for the kind words guys! I don't know if I would call myself regional elite though... maybe local sub-elite or something like that. I'm certainly no ultra-runner like Mega or Bateluer! Anyway, I am running the New Orleans Marathon next weekend, but just using it as a training run before my goal race of Grandma's Marathon in June. Hoping to run 2:3x there and then stop chasing marathon PRs.

6.1 miles tonight right after work. About as hilly as it gets down here.

My part of southeast Michigan has to be nearly as flat as your area. I have to drive about 30 miles to get close to any kind of reasonable amount of hills.

Running marathons in the 2:30's is pretty darn elite. Not world-class maybe, but well beyond the average runner. You're well ahead of me, and I'm usually in the top quarter or top third of any event I run. As for Mega and Bateluer, well, they're just crazy!
No recent miles for me - tweaked a hamstring!

Heal up Mursilis, race season is coming upon us quickly!
6.1 again tonight, almost barfed up my Cuban sammich and latte at one point. But the run was great, my knee feels better when I'm running than when I'm walking. Weird.

Another 5 for me. Had to tone it down last two days. Injury bug for me too. Lateral calf/soleus muscle strain. Going to take a few days off after tomorrow.

TraumaRN, pardon me for asking, but how old are you? If you are 40+ (I am, no insult intended), and if you have chronic calf issues, have you heard of Mad Calf Disease? Check it out.

No I'm just 27. Its probably from my minimalist shoes(merrell trail gloves). Just doing RICE for now. Always had huge calf muscles because I was a swimmer and runner in younger years.

Man, even after running for several weeks, I managed to make my calves extremely sore last week...took a few days off running, and did it again this week. Anywho, +12 miles in the meanwhile. I keep forgetting to post em.

My trail shoes are minimal (NB MT1010s) and I do half my mileage in them. I understand your predicament, my calves were pretty tight right after I switched to them last summer.
