Default Logitech going crappy?

Just figured out after getting some weird behavior while playing that I now have a second logitech mouse developing a malfunctioning left button. I've never had this occur in a mouse before, and now have had it in back to back logi ones. First my 500 and just now my 300 (which I had previously bought as a backup); will submit RMAs on these, but starting to feel awfully hesitant about buying a new one again.

Welcome to Logitech. Innovative designs, cheap parts, mediocre QA and great customer service. I don't think I've ever owned a Logitech that didn't develop some sort of problem or another, minus my latest G700.

Logitech mice all seem to have the mouse button double click failure, its very common. But my Zowie has a squeaky mouse wheel, my Razer mamba just stopped working at all and my rat 9 was total rubbish. Its going to fail at some point because its physically moving.

Pretty much this. It's tiny, made of tiny plastic, and you click it thousands and thousands of times every day. I've even had MX518s made years and years ago eventually go bad on me. The more bells and whistles they shove into that little mound of plastic, the more chances something is going to crap out sooner rather than later.

At least their customer service is still best in class.

I RMA'd three G500s in a row before finally talking to a senior technician (not a CSR) and being told that the electronic squeal I was hearing was a known issue; it was overlooked because most people could not hear it.

This. When I told them I didn't want another G500 undoubtedly with the same issue (and not being interested in another model), they gladly exchanged it for a G110 keyboard, and at no extra cost to me. I went back to using my trusted G5 mouse that I was trying to replace, and it continues to function without a flaw to this day.

The problem ive been having is that when I go to click and hold the button doesn't hold. Not sure if that's the same as the double click problem but its what mine is doing. Drives you crazy in game when you can barely control yourself.

Sne and email last night to support, no reply yet. Guess I'll have o call hem.

Damn you logitech!

After 2 or so days of not getting a response to my email I call up for a replacement, while at work. Moron wants me to adjust some settings first-again I'm at work- to check if its a software or hardware problem.

Guess he missed it when I said one mouse failed, started using the other and then that one developed same problem at a much later date. Must be that real intermittent problem.
