Is iCloud email good / secure?
I want to ditch Gmail because I find its interface to be rubbish. Today I had to look around for 1 minute just to find out how to change the font in my outgoing email
I tried the iCloud interface and I like it and am thinking about using my iCloud email as my main email as it integrates with my iPhone contacts as well what do you guys think? it has no ads or anything
is it better ?
I cannot afford to pay for lavbit email yearly so...

Use a mail client. You can use any service you like, or multiple services, and have one interface for all of them.

On that note, try Postbox:
http://www.postbox-inc.com/
Just a terrific email client, and it works well with your existing Gmail account (or any other one). Same address, better interface.

I think it's better; that's why I bought it a few months back. It's based on the Thunderbird code for the engine, but the UI is completely reworked. I think it's a much cleaner, nicer interface, and has some enhancements specifically to work better with Gmail: http://support.postbox-inc.com/entri...with-postbox-3
There's a 30-day free trial; I'd definitely give it a shot. I've tried just about every Windows email client under the sun, and this is the only reasonably-priced one I really liked. (Outlook 2010 is good too, but not cheap, and doesn't play as nicely with Gmail.)

I don't want anything cheap I want quality. I have Office 2010 Professional Plus but always do not choose to install Outlook as it is horrible with Gmail and very slow. Like if I delete an email it hangs for a few seconds until it actually deletes it
does Postbox have google contacts integration?

Excellent! Glad it did what you were looking for. As I said, I tried a lot of email clients, and Postbox just clicked with me. Enjoy!

I love its interface so much man. So clean and organized.
I just hate that there is no Gmail contacts importer. I did import my contacts manually but that came up with fields on the right and fields on the left that I had to match (ie. Mobile Number on the left, and Mobile Number on the right or First Name on the left, first name on the right) this process is so annoying because when you move up/down anything from the bottom the ones on the top get messed up and you must re-match the fields as they don't auto populate. When I used Thunderbird it had a nice little plugin that did all the work to keep your contacts synchronized manually. I can't imagine myself reimporting my contacts again when I update them anymore as that would involve a 30 min work of a very annoying and tedious job
