Can someone confirm Windows 8's autoplay behaviour pls

I was using a Windows 8 machine yesterday, and it seems to me that if you plug in a particular type of storage device (let's say a digital camera with images on the card), Windows 8 will ask you what to do with it the first time you connect it, but the second time it will just automatically do whatever you chose the first time.

Is this correct?

Unless you chose nothing it will keep coming back up. Also if the driver is changed or usb mode for the device it will come back up.
