I considered putting this in an OT thread...
I need new t-shirts. Either "TEAM AnandTech" or "Damn Fox to the special hell -- the hell reserved for child molesters and people that talk at the theater". Which do you think would be easiest to make and all? (I am absolutely not above wearing / funding both, so long as they are in acceptable colors)
EDIT: Holy hell, I found a new wonderfully easy way to rename threads -- shiny!

What about:
"TeAm AnandTech" in a half circle above
and
"World Wide BBQ" in a half circle below ...

I recently had a short stay in the hospital. When they told me to put on a face mask, I asked why.
The doctor said, "It could be one of three reasons: you are either contageous, infectuous, or butt-ugly.

Picked up a kamado style BBQ last weekend for under $200. Smoked a pork butt for 10 hours as the first cook on it (after seasoning it with two cooks with only salt pork).
Going to do a brisket on it Saturday.

First BBQ for 2013
Tomorrow will be our first 2013 BBQ. Marinating a pork loin in an orange/lime juice base with some basic spices (garlic/cumin/ginger/pepper.) Also going to try a baked bean dip (Refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar and jack cheeses.) Hopefully the weather cooperates.
Cheers!

Tomorrow will be a good day for BBQ. It's going to be in the 90's in San Diego and at work we're busting out the grill for some pre-Cinco de Mayo celebrations with Carne Asada, Grilled Shrimp, and lots of beer and tequila!

Today I had BBQ chicken sandwich. Store bought rotisserie chicken and BBQ sauce, not bad. I really am not getting this thread.

I'm getting skewered<-----BBQ reference
This is my best mathematical insight yet and I'm getting really negative responses. A possibel outcome of this post: all the mathematicians who have been working on this part of Mertens will have wasted their time.
I'm hoping that that is the reason for the negativity, instead of the other possibility---that they don't understand it.
Edit: A comment I got would make a nice signature.

Company picnic yesterday for lunch. BBQ chicken as well as pulled pork.
The coleslaw had a nice bite to it, too!

@Rudy Toody: I love your new sig!
And: what is "pulled pork"?
Yeah, I could google it, but this is a BBQ-thread ...
In Sweden I have never heard of "pulled pork".
So please:
1. A receipe
2. How this expression came into existence
3. Is it good?

After the pork roast is cooked, you pull it apart or shred it and add BBQ sauce and pile it onto a bun. Usually for a large group.
IMO it is a rude way of ruining a good piece of roast ... it is stringy and gets stuck between your teeth. I'd rather cut a nice quarter to half inch thick piece against the grain and eat it like steak or put it in a sandwich (with BBQ sauce!)
The good thing about pulled pork is that there are more surfaces for BBQ to stick to

Down in Mississippi, they also put coleslaw on top. At first, I was skeptical but after tasting it, not to bad.

I ran two batches of Coho Salmon through my smoker, trying to empty the freezer for my upcoming trip to Prince of Wales Island Alaska.
This year I'm taking my son Peter who is now 15 and my new son in law Ryan, who hasn't really ever caught a fish before but wants to learn.
We hope to return with several hundred pounds of Salmon fillets and hopefully some Halibut.
(so I need an empty freezer... I suppose I could buy another one)
Then again I really do like smoked Salmon!
