What happened to the forums last night?

At some time after 1am EST, the forums last night, changed to just a grey blank screen, with maybe a black pixel in the upper-left corner.

It was the strangest thing. I didn't think that they were doing maintenance last night.

I tried using a proxy to access the forums too, and still got the grey screen.

Anyways, it was fixed this morning when I got up and refreshed the forum.

Yup, same here. I did notice earlier yesterday or sunday that 1 Ad server seemed to be hanging page loading as well.

same, it seemed to happen for a short while a few hours before then too. I couldn't access anything for ~10-20 min (grey screen) and then everything was fine for the next few hours. At first i thought it was a DNS issue, but I changed to google DNS and it was was still showing a gray screen. I guess it wasn't very much like a DNS error though, since there was no problem finding anandtech, maybe it was a vbulletin thing? Cause it was the same gray default background.

Also, VirtualLarry's avatar is pretty appropriate for this .
