The front end looks fugly. Thankfully the image is labeled concept.
Also think the "thin" tires look bad. It would probably look better with regular tires.
Personally I think the 2001-2002 Corolla looked the best.

That looks like a concept corolla. I don't think it will look like that... at least not in the states.
Either way its a corolla so who cares what it looks like. I guess that one is better than the current? Does it still have 120hp and float like a grand marquis like my gf's 2009?

It always makes me laugh when I see someone driving a Corolla S like it is some kind of hopped up version of an econobox. Really? My 10 year old Maxima with 125,000 miles will smoke you dude.

Haha funny you mention that, a few years ago some friends were talking about sports cars. One girl chimed in saying 'my family drives a sports car too!' We asked what kind and she said 'Toyota Corolla. Oh, but its the S version.'

Few know this - but Toyota was putting in the Celica GTS motor in the Corolla and called it the XRS. Think they started this in 2004 and kept it up for a few years.
170HP/127TQ and a 6spd manual from the 1.8L 4-banger
Toyota would be fools to reqork the Corolla - they need to kepp it as bland as boring as possible. Their owner base does not ask for a change.

Interesting I didn't know the XRS had a special motor... I figured it was another bs wheel/kit trim level like the S.

Well, people have accused Toyota of being bland. Can't say that about this car. It's... interesting.
Are you sure this is the 2014 model. The 11th gen just went on sale in Japan and it looks nothing like that. Seems unlikely they'd do a complete overhaul after just two years. Me thinks this is just a concept. That or they're making it a special ST version.

Anything looks better than the current one. This would be a huge improvement.

It ran from 2004 till 2007 but the engine was de-tuned as it put out 180hp in the Celica. It did run low 7's 0-60 though. In 2009 Toyota brought it back but with only 158hp.

The current design is basically ten years old, with a slight facelift in the middle. And it wasn't exactly cutting edge when it was released.
I'd still rather have that than the abortion pictured. Looks like a Civic redesigned by Ford.

i freaking hate corollas. had to drive a friend's in college and that thing was basically like a hovercar - inputs to steering and throttle are mostly suggestions as to where you'd like to end up. hate that car.

I see someone's semi-digested gastrointestinal contents. Where's the car?

LMAO! Test drove one a few years ago, ended up buying the wife a Mazda3 instead. The Corolla drove awfully and looked cheap.

The concept pics look promising but I doubt the car will look that good. I hope all the hot looking Asian chicks buy the beige model. At least dodging them in traffic will be worth it.

I liked mine. It was my first car and was a 1998, though. I dunno about the new ones.

Wife had an 04 Corolla before we replaced it with a '12 Forester. Goddamn was that car so bland and boring to drive. This new one looks like a Civic from the front. Too much so. Is Toyota the new Hyundai, copying body styles verbatim?

As bad as that car is, the body will decompose before the car dies.
