I'm up to 866 games legally installed
All on my new 3TB SSD array.
Also took all the CD/DVDs out so that I could organize them. I still buy my PC games on physical media whenever possible. 1,189 discs.

I wonder why names with appended characters come before those without. Is that really alphabetical?
IE BioShock 2 is listed before BioShock.

Just out of curiosity, have you also configured in-game settings to your likings for each one of them? Such as their respective resolutions, other settings, difficulty levels (when available of course) and so on? Or are most of them simply installed? Additionally, are all of them also patched to their respective last version? And, finally, do you count DLCs, Steam games or other digitally purchased games and Free-to-Play ones if you have any?
Anyway, it's impressive. I got about a total of maybe half of those games (I think around 420 or so, I'd have to check again) and they're all scattered across multiple older consoles, along with the PC. And I have yet to actually complete a good 70% of them. Ironically enough (well I think it's ironic in a sense) I happen to complete more games since the past few years than I used to back in the 8-Bit, 16-Bit and 32-Bit days, but one of the reason for that is because back then until I got my original PS1 I used to rent games instead and rarely had the time or the money to rent them again and again to eventually complete them, unless of course they happened to be short and could be finished in about a day or two (which did happen, but not often).
I have to ask, really, can you tell by heart (or your estimation) how many of those installed games you've actually played and completed yourself?

That's just something Windows 7 does. Vista use to display them in the correct order.

All of the games have been run and configured after install. Of course as I upgrade the resolution and some settings may need to be adjusted to match the hardware when launching the game again.
I've played maybe about 30% of them. It's nice to be able to go to a game and start playing it. For example, I started playing through Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. The game came out in '06, I bought it sometime around '07, and I'm playing though it today.

I believe the space comes before the period in ascii. That would be why Bioshock.lnk comes after Bioshock 2.lnk.
Edit: I just checked and Space does come before Period on the ASCII map. (32 vs. 46)

The picture of the list is so big my laptop needs more time to render it. Is this a dark story of the PC game hoarder.
I'm not going to ask if you played all of them, but if each game avg 8hrs to complete it would take you 1.5 years to get through all of it if you played 12hrs straight every single day(assuming you never get stuck). Jesus, that is insane.

Hmm, why are all your CD/DVD's upside down, you should make a collage out of them all.

Force of habit of never laying a DVD or CD with the data side down. That and that's how they ended up as I was taking them out of the binders.

The data side is the top of the cd, not the bottom. You are actually laying all of your CDs with the data side down. Of course the data gets read from the bottom side, but it is the top that you really need to protect, since it is where the data is actually stored, and it doesn't have much protection.
I really popped on here to say that I own practically every game you have installed, which surprised me immensely. I guess we have similar taste in games, but I really didn't realize how many games I have.

What OS are you running? Reason I ask is, can't be Win 7 because I don't think some of those games could be installed on Win 7 (like the original Rainbow 6). And I'm just like you OP, I still prefer buying physical copies over using digital downloads like Steam and such.

It's Windows 7 x64 SP1. Some games won't install if the installer is 16-bit or there is other compatability problems. I have Windows XP as a virtual machine and install in there if that's the case. I then move the installed files and registry settings over to the Windows 7 OS.

Nice.
I typically have as many games installed as I possibly can. ~600 Steam games, but I can only fit ~500 of them on my 2TB hard drive.
If Steam didn't exist, I wouldn't bother. The fact that most of your games are traditional CD-based installs, rather than using Steam, is pretty crazy. If I didn't have auto-update/auto-repair on all of my games, then I would be in hell. But whatever works for you I guess.
It goes without saying, but I'm also incredibly jealous of your PC.
