What do you mean by Not Steamable?
You mean I can't play with my steam friends?
Thanks

They're basically setting up a virtual private network to get the keys from another country. (Russia most likely) They are more than likely not valid on US accounts.

Will the DLC from them work with the retail version?
Edit: Just bought it and got the key (with the discount code). It redeemed just fine within the game.

Hi I know you get a code but how do you use it? Is there a certain way to use the code?

From inside the game. I can't remember the menu item name, but it's in there.

So how does it work, does direct2play give you a download file then and you use the code ingame? I'm used to Steam and have no idea how this would work :/

I feel like I should clarify this... it's not steamable because it's not a steamworks game. Even if you bought the physical game in the retail packaging, it's STILL not "steamable". Yes steam sells it, but it still has to go through U-play. It has nothing to do with the website, it's the fact that Ubisoft has their own DRM that they use.

I think they just give you a code, and you activate it in U-Play (not steam, but similar system). Then it downloads through U-play the same way it'd download through steam.

I don't remember. Most of my ubisoft games are installed via disc so it was part of the install. Not in front of my home computer so I can't check.

Like I said a few times before. You redeem the DLC code you get from Direct2Drive inside the game.

I mean for the whole game, I gathered I'd get the DLC from within the game. But I want to know where I use the code Direct2Play for the game, is it in Uplay? Do they give me an installation file that I install then enter the game code?

There's an option to "add a game" within Uplay.

Hi, yeah its kinda sorted now. I got the answer funny enough from Steam, this group I'm part of posted about a really good deal on the game and had a link to the game installer so I'm currently installing the game and after running the game I will have to enter my code. So sorted thanks now I can enjoy the game
