Default Best games to take advantage of 2560 x 1600 resolution

I recently found a great deal on a used HP ZR30w monitor and I was wondering what games would best take advantage of the high resolution. Are there any games that have a much better gaming experience with a 30" monitor?

Any game with a complex UI that you can adjust, so you can fit more information on the screen. Eve is an example of that. Otherwise, you get better resolution on all games that support it.

Any modern game really, 1600p is just a big 16:10 aspect ratio resolution. The question is do you have a GPU that can handle that resolution well?

I had been playing Assassin's Creed 3 on my 1080p 58" plasma and was constantly impressed with the beauty of the game world.

Then I switched it over to my 30" and the game just looked like shit. Guess all the textures just lacked detail it seemed.

This is due mostly to viewing distance I suppose. I'm happier at 10ft on a 1080p HDTV lol, can't see the crappy console port gfx.

Not to mention the terrible blacks the ZR30W has imo, I no longer game on it.

I have seen nothing but great blacks (and colors) from my perspective. Perhaps my standards are lower than yours, or maybe you have a bad ZR30w?

Black level in LCD vs. Plasma is no contest. Only CRTs are better at the absence of color than plasma. I still can't play video games on LCD panels. When my 2070u BK goes I'm stuck with consoles until they make affordable OLED computer monitors.

Can your GPU even push that resolution?

Do games support it?

Consoles are still struggling towards 1080p.
