don't want to get busted for too much talk in here, but the base he carries in the suitcase, the leg of the chair is inside the leg of his pants, it fits in a socket in that base.

Yeah, if you look at his right leg, you'll see the pipe going up the pants. The mat hides the counterbalance. Very old trick.
