Looking for a universal remote that also has cable function
I have a HDTV and time Warner cable box and a sound bar and my stereo system. Too many remotes. I am looking for a universal remote but I need it to have funtionality for time Warner cable. The remote for my sound bar is too tiny and gets lost all the time. Is there a universal remote that also has time Warner cable functions ?

Which one? There is a bunch. Will the cheaper 650 work with my sound bar? I don't want to spend a fortune on a harmony and the 650 is 80 bucks. The others are in the hundreds.

Your sound bar has remote capability?

The 650 will be fine. The more expensive models have additional features, hold more equipment, use RF, etc. They all are programmed from the same database of devises. Look around and the Harmony One can be found for $100 reburbed.

Dont most? I had to get a soundbar that had optical input as the audio out on my TV is optical only and therefore I can only control the volume from the soundbar and not the TVs control. The SB remote is 3.5x1.5 and is a PITA. Dont most TV sound bars have remotes?
Anyway, it looks like the Harmony 650 has what I need. Thanks guys!

TBH I dunno. Ive never owned one. I guess I (mistakenly) thought a sound bar was nothing more than an external speaker.

That speaker has a volume control. Some soundbars also come with a "receiver" that has inputs and such too.

Thanks. I ordered the 650 from amazon. I don't want to deal with more cradles and chargers.
