Any particular weapon upgrades/attachments that you guys think are necessary? I don't really plan on buying thing with cash so every credit i save would really be helpful

I finally joined up with an outfit and I gotta say, it dramatically improves the experience IMHO. So if you're still running solo, I'd look into that.

How do you enable Physics anyways? You have to edit a file or something? Mine is greyed out..i got SLI so can make one use it to try it out.

I guess even if you enable it in the .ini file, it will check that tick box in the UI but otherwise do nothing.
They disabled it between beta and release, from what I've read, due to certain stability issues or other bugs.

Which is to say, I think it was all for naught. The game is rife with all those problems already - if it was a less enjoyable game, I'd quit and revisit in a few months (if ever) simply because the problems can be tiresome. But the game is awesome and engaging (if playing right), and while the bugs can be annoying and either directly crash the game or force you to exit and launch it again, they aren't too terribly common, at least on my end.

But yeah, word is GPU physics will likely be enabled again at a later date, but right now it's completely disabled at the engine level.

It's supposed to - so it just deducted Station Cash (or certs) without any confirmation dialog?
That sucks, I guess it's not too terrible if you wanted it anyway.

I saw the pack but I already have two of the items in the pack (Burster and I think the A-30 Walker or whatever), so it would have been a worse deal for me.

Same, I already had part of the pack, so I went ahead and bought 7 day boost instead, figured i'd get more pleasure from seeing 600+xp from a single kill then 1 or 2 items I didn't even want.

Is there some sort of restriction on spawning as the Max class? They seem like the best counter to air and yet there aren't usually many around. I've tried to spawn as one a few times and been reverted to LA. I also noticed a separate time when I was killed as a Max and tried to respawn. What are the rules?

you can't spawn as a MAX. You need to find a console (ones on sunderers work) and spawn one. There is a timer on the MAX like the other vehicles. Also it costs 100 infantry points to spawn.

Did not hear that. They have the video on youtube still showing the before and after effects from it.

Yep, they count it as a vehicle, also, you should try and get the left burster from the shop so you have both weapons Anti-Air if you really want to use it as an AA platform.

I do, I do really want to use it as an AA platform. I also want to use my LA, HA, Engineer, and Infi as AA platforms. And after that I will throw rocks at them until every pilot is dead.

This game needs something to balance the fights. All weekend I was never in a anywhere near balanced fight. It's either roll over a mostly empty base or run into the zerg. Last night the NC had 50%+ pop on Esamir and Amerish but only 15% on Indar.

Really? Over the weekend I was in some of the best fights I've been in since starting to play the game. Friday and Saturday we had epic defenses against TR and VS at Ikanam. Both battles went on more than two hours. In Saturday's battle alone I got something like 100 certs. Then last night we had another huge defensive battle at the TI minerals plant. Had VS trying to push up the hill to cap the base for over an hour.

That's how it works. Huge continents and 90% of the people are like you wanting a "big fight", so they go looking for one which leaves 90% of the rest of the map empty.

There's strategic value in taking empty bases too.

So not that I like quoting my own posts, but I did for reference because...

I logged in last night for the first time in a few days. Upon logging in, first thing I see is a big old "ITEM UNLOCKED" message flutter across the screen. I look up in the message window, and it says "ITEM UNLOCKED: Hawk missile launcher" or something to that effect.

I went and checked just to make sure, and yes, for their cockup with the AA pack it looks like they gave people that bought it the AA missile launcher. The best part is they didn't take away my Crow in the process, so for 1000 SC I got BOTH missile launchers out of the bundle. WIN!

Actually I like platoon vs platoon fights much more than zerg vs zerg fights since there's less spam and my frame rate doesn't drop too far.
The thing is you don't need a platoon to take a base with 3 people in it. Luckily my Outfit is now capping 4 bases at a time with a platoon so that speeds it up and concentrate the enemy into the remaining bases.

Had a great run at a biolab yesterday. 45-14, mostly as a MAX. Hacksaw + scattergun w/ slug

Anyone know when the big January patch is due out? This game is fun but I'm still having a ton of crashing problems.

Had some really epic fights over the weekend on Jaegar... but overall I'm starting to get the feeling that the only three things that matter anymore are air, armor, and snipers.

this game is all about vehicles. tanks eat infantry for breakfast and air owns all (though air is probably getting nerfed). even sniper isn't all that strong; I haven't really been killed by snipers all that often, and even then it was because i was standing around in the open.
