I was toying with making something similar but in a fixed setting made of PVC before I came across the Emperor 1510 early last year. At first I was thinking of the PVC as a proto type because I couldn't find any plans by anyone. I remember seeing some various building plans back in the late 90s during the home show circuit but those companies have long gone belly up I guess as I cannot find them. Anyway, I kept scouring the net and then came across The Emperor 1510 during a youtube search of all things. Later this year I will be in a unique financial situation to afford one if I so desired. After thinking more about it I decided I'd wait until the wife and I decide to buy a new house or not. We're leaning towards buying a bigger house. I'm definetly going to need a bigger room whether I build my own or buy something like the Emperor. So I've put my dream toy on hold for now. On my list of must haves for a new house is a big room that can hold such a contraption plus a regular desk and stuff. Maybe a big game room instead of a den. I havent decided.
