Xbox Remote

Looking at getting one of the xbox remotes, it will be used solely for using the media center extender functions. Is it better to get the old white one or the new black one?

I dunno. They're both about $20. The white one has the dedicated MCE button. Otherwise they look functionally the same. Is it just a d-pad on the black one, or does it spin/scroll? ...that could be nice for long lists of music, shows, channels, etc...

We use a Harmony with ours as it works very well.

I'd just suggest getting a Harmony, or some other programmable remote. Then you can always repurpose it for other uses later, or even control the TV, Xbox, and stereo system all from the same remote.
