create an cc_config.xml file and place in ProgramData/Boinc directory and restart boinc.

The one below will result in no gpu use.

Lots of other options here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Client_configuration

<cc_config>
<options>
<no_gpus>1</no_gpus>

Damn CPU tasks won't complete on time but I will try to get them to finish, by keeping the laptop on all the time instead of hibernating it. Anyway GPU tasks should have a better chance of completing on the 9300M GS and the GTX 525M.

Awesome job all!

conversation earlier today:

wife: what do you want for xmas?
me: well, I'd like to get a new video card but it's kind of expensive
wife: how much?
me: about $300..but it's uses a lot less power than the old one (GTX295).
wife: ok, sure. It would be nice to have a lower power bill.
me: thanks!! I'll go to microcenter and pick it up!
wife: Hi, did you get the new video card?
me: Yes! is it ok to install it now and wrap the empty box?
wife: Yeah I guess that would be ok..

New GTX660Ti in the race! 1 WU/12 minutes.

I didn't install the GTX295 on a different machine. My only option is my 2600K which running SMP FAH WUs and that machine has a 4850 on it. It's a bit of a hassle to remove ATI drivers and install nvidia on linux. Plus, running PrimeGrid would totally kill the FAH SMP ppd on that machine.

Holy cow (no pun intended), that's impressive. I can only imagine how many GPUs it took to accomplish that.

Looks like we're in the top 10 overall for the year! Way to go TeAm!
Edit: That doesn't include this race. So I'm not sure where we are yet.

So we made only 16th place this race. Don't worry - it's not the end of the world.
