That is a really nice looking phone. Such a shame Blackberry is going to die anyway.

Looks nice. It will be weird having another flagship mobile OS. I'm so used to iOS vs. Andriod and Windows Phone looking pretty on the side. I can't wait to try the OS out. The design looks fairly good, sort of an iPhone 5/Samsung hybrid. Soft touch of the sides would have been nice though. I think the top power button will be fine because there should be a swipe gesture to wake up the phone.

That is the regular raxr maxx in that picture, not the HD.

guys that phone is a straight up copy of an iphone 5.I hate how apple is sue happy but they actually straight up copied the 5 with this phone.
It looks nothing like there older blackberries and will get sued and this time they deserve it knowing how apple is sue happy and still built a phone that looks like this.

Yep. My mistake. Or theirs. It was labelled as the HD, but isn't. This is the one. Better than the regular Maxx, but I still think the Blackberry 10L looks nicer. Again, re: Logos: Having the Moto logo is bad enough, but having the Verizon logo is much worse. I hope mine (HD, not Maxx HD) doesn't come with a Fido logo on the front.

To everyone screaming that this is a copy of the iPhone 5 - this is not the first we've seen this phone. There have been various leaks for months and it hasn't changed. So apparently they copied a phone that hadn't been released yet...mighty impressive of them!

Not that I care who copies who or if I even believe any of it, but we all knew what the iphone 5 looked like months ahead of time too.

How? It shares the same traits with the iphone that it shares with every touchscreen based smartphone ever. As far as I can tell it has no buttons on the front, so that's more android like than anything. It has a removeable battery too.

I agree, the verizon logo is hideous. I don't mind the motorola logo, its not too big and has nice texture to it. Other than the verizon logo i think the maxx HD is gorgeous.

I assumed it was common knowledge. There is no way Blackberry will survive or at least ever be more than a small niche for business customers. Hardware doesn't really matter that much, it's the software and it's way too late in the game and too many competitors already to get the third party app developers on board.
