Yes, funny. I also have the DVD set and I don't buy very many DVDs.
The Cheese Shop sketch. Hungarian Phrasebook sketch. Musical mice. Whizzo Chocolates. Argument clinic. These are funny as hell.
MP was unusual in that they had a terrible time coming up with endings for sketches. It's why so many simply stop abruptly.

i think the movies are usually funnier than the tv show but the tv show has great stuff too.

I love both The Holy Grail and the Life of Brian, but I've seen very few sketches that were funny.

The TV show was hit or miss like any sketch comedy, but had quite a few good bits.

It's hit and miss. Some of the sketches had me rolling on the floor, others had looking at the clock, still others were a mixture (I'd be rolling on the floor for 30 seconds and bored out of my mind for several minutes).
