ASUS Black Blu-ray Burner SATA BW-12B1ST/BLK/G/AS $40 after rebate Free Shipping
Getting ready to downsize my rig in sig and my current LG Blue-ray drive is about a 1/4" too long for my new case. Seems like a decent deal and comes with 1 free disc....Don't think it has playback software but for the price it seems like a decent deal to me.

Looking at the specs on Asus site and reading feedback on newegg the drive is of the short depth variety....Asus states 170mm = 6.69"

great burner , have had one for some time never a bad burn. cant say that about the previous burner which was a older pioneer bluray. mine isnt as fast as the pioneer was but it also never failed on burning either.

VLC with the keys. Otherwise your spending at least $50 on the software
XBMC plays them too now iirc, both without menus though.

2x players are supposed to be able to, with the right software.
