Recommendation for Wifi Adapter
I need a recommendation for wifi adapter.
Will be used in ivy bridge gaming system.
Currently using http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833166051
And I am having quite a few problems, system seems to be unstable because of it.
I would like one that does N speeds, prefer dual band although don't ultimately need dual band. No interest in ac yet.
Am looking for recommendation of PCI vs PCIe vs USB.
Needs to be fast, and reliable.
No hardware coflicts please.
I was looking at reviews on newegg and it seems ALOT of the PCI/e cards are giving people with sandy/ivy systems BSODs and such.
THANKS!

Yes it's a laptop card but you can get a mini PCI-E adapter for it on ebay for $7 and it will fit in your desktop. This way you will have the best wifi card available and intel drivers. There are some tests on this card in a desktop on the web.

HI, can someone post a direct link that doesn't go through http://www.tkqlhce.com as they are blocked in most host files and firewalls? thanks.

posted in that thread... but still it's annoying.... I think people need to at least specify what the product is they're linking to so in case people wanna know what it is they can at least google the product or directly go to newegg to search if they wanna buy the product.
or get the forum mod where it will rename the links to whatever the title is. and people shouldn't be expected to get rid of whatever security solution they have just to view a couple newegg links...

This is really annoying for me as well, but thankfully I've found a workaround. Bookmark the following:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N
When a link to Newegg is posted, the truncated link almost always shows the last 14 digits of the 15 digit item number, so I copy just those 14 digits and paste it to the end of the link above.
Example:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130766
becomes this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130766
Copy the last visible digits, then paste it to the end of the first link above and you've got a working link.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130766
A couple of extra steps, and a couple of extra seconds, but gets the job done without compromising network security.
