Default WipeDrive stalls at 65%

I'm using WipeDrive 3.0 to wipe out a HDD. I've used it before with success. This time it stalls out at 65% and sits there. Has anyone had this problem before?

did you check the drive for errors before.

Check for bad sectors now, not just for file system errors.
