Default Motherboard Selection

Hello,
I am planning to build my first PC, after being tired of my broken laptop. Somehow i landed in this wonderful community with tech geeks..

I am planning buy Intel Core i7 3770K 3.5GHz LGA 1155 Processor, Can you guys help me to choose a good motherboard with good warranty.

Price i am willing to spend moderate, i am not a big gaming fan.

Thankyou,

there is another part of the site with a set of instructions on how to ask for hardware advice. I will look for it there is a long questionnaire

here you go

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=80121

I have a bit of advice you picked the top of the line cpu.

300 usd.

how much is your total budget? and read the link.

I find size matters. Do you want a big case a small case a medium case.

Do you game?

mostly HT or both?

I could say you want the top of the line cpu for why? you don't game much you may not want to over clock. you can get a i5 3570 for a hundred less.

as for mobos small build I love the asrock

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157312 itx from you can use a nice msata ssd in it for your boot drive

for a medium build I love the asus maximus gene v

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131830

for a large build I love the gigabyte sniper

(this mobo is tricky to setup) not for a beginner build

its is costly. Once I set it up it is rock solid

Spelling aside....Asrock makes some nice boards that are easy on the wallet.

Which case did you purchase or plan on purchasing?

That motherboard would work. You could also use a m-atx motherboard if you find one you like.
