Lulz you bring up 7+ year of vinyl but I cannot mention 10 year old leather?
There is something wrong with you guys if you are destroying couches in a year.

yea but it's either that one specific shade of brown in leather, or the black in the bonded leather. $250 price difference (from $2150 to $2400) between the 2 selections. the price really is not a factor in my decision at all. it's more of risking the unknown quality for the color i want more (which from my research has been nothing but positive) vs the leather quality for a color that i like and i think will match perfectly, however i am not 100% that i will like it as much as the black color. i mean you really can't ever go wrong with black lol.
although the brown will definitely feel more "homie" which is what we are going for too.

Never been a big fan of black furniture. They just show blemishes that much better. By blemish I mean stains and wear and tear.

Cheaper doesn't mean worse.
I have 4 kids and I have had leather couches. Leather SUCKS, simple as that. It cracks, splits and wears way too fast.
Unfortunately Vinyl is hard to come by when it comes to furniture. It usually exists on cheap furniture.
No furniture company wants you to buy something that will last many years (0 repeat business).
So good luck finding something in vinyl that's decent quality (frame etc).
Quality leather you say? Unless you spend $3000-5000 per couch....don't even bother. And even at that price, leather will still wear/crack over time.

How are you treating the leather? Cracking and splitting is usually when the leather dries out and it is not being looked after.

alright, the brown chairs have been ordered. should have them monday i think, possibly friday but i doubt it since it is going to require a freight service to move them to my house from some local drop off location. they are literally about 3 hours away from me so it isn't too far to go.
said he should ship them tomorrow so we'll see.
and don't worry, you will all see the pics lol.

ive heard both but I'm not even sure you could compare them. The 600s and CMs are very nice but the JTRs are on another planet (IMO)

im talking about the 12s, however from what everyone else has said the T8s sound very similar to the Seaton Cat 8Cs, Which i have heard and if that is the case i would still take them over pretty much anything

i was actually talking to a local guy today who's heard the triple 8's and the 8c's and he was telling me that they are VERY similar speakers in general. he sent me a long winded email and stuff about it.
he is the guy who let me demo his klipsch stuff, the rf7ii and rc64ii. he said that if he had known about jtr prior to purchasing the klipsch he wouldn't have thought twice about purchasing them. he's a huge bass head too. infact you may know who he is cause i know he's driven up to pa before for gtg's and is doing so for another one on december 15th and asked me if i want to go. name is popalock on avs.

LOL yes i know Austin
ill likely be there as well on the 15th, and bass head is an understatement, be brought 2 LMS ultras powered with a iNuke6000 and was annoyed because he didn't feel they got loud enough. he wanted to see if we coudl hook them up and the JTRs and the Seatons all at the same time
hes bringing them back up with his CV-5000 and hopefully a fixed clone, to compare to dual JTR Caps and Quad Dayton HOs (2x dual opposed) powered by a XLS-5000
pretty sure Gorilla83 also PMed you because i asked him if he knew anyone with JTRs in his area and he said he had just sent you a PM

lol small ass world. yea he is the guy's house i went to to demo the klipsch. he's strongly recommending the JTR and Seaton as subs. do you know the gorilla guy over there too? he was telling me he's selling his dual caps and was wondering if i was interested in them.

yea he just put them up on AVS, TBH i was pretty surprised when i saw them for sale. the DIY bug got him. i figured he would sell his 2 Epik Empires and move the caps upstairs. which is why i really want to hear his DIY daytons, his 2 dual opposed must really be something to displace the caps
hes selling them for a good price, you could buy an amp and be under 3k for all of it and have some serious output.
at the last G2G the only thing that bested them was the 3x Seaton submersive setup, which was 6 drivers vs 2 for the JTRs
I was hoping they would push the g2g out till after the first so more people could come. by then id prob have my 2 18s built and prob a pair of the SEOS mains

yes they have tweeters just not in the traditional sense of a small dome
for the T8
"sealed 8” midrange coaxial fitted with a 1” compression driver behind the acoustically transparent dust cover."
no DIY kit, they are prebuilt
and you can get more than just the Single and Triples, Jeff will build you Quads and Quints if you want
