Default WDC 1TB Black FEAX $88 (Now $96) Amazon

I have bought coupla hundred of these drives over the years
This is first time I have seen preflood price.
I consider this the the quietest most reliable drive ever. Only had one issue in that time - had excessive vibration (off balance platter coating?), but still worked fine. Amazon immediately replaced it no questions of course.

I've been using these drives exclusively for my spinning drives, love them!

$88 for the 1tb FAEX instead of the $89 3tb Cuda? Why on earth, if ever?

Warranty, thus effective reliability? Who wants a 3TB drive with only 1 year warranty? Not I.

Get your facts straight. The Barracuda has a 2-year, plus a 3 year extended for $9. All in 5 year, 3TB for for $99. Moot actually, since all the firmware issues that blindly resurface are from 1.5TB drive from 2007. Do your research, or not, it's your money.
