There's a difference between pointing out obvious dumbass comments that someone "in the field" makes (IE what I do to you) and consistently ragging on others' personal opinions while giving completely flawed and biased advice (what you do to everyone in our garage).

I don't give a f*** about "played out", I like the body style.
Edit: Going with an all-alu GTA MotorWorks chassis and body, w/ RPM 427 side-oiler and FAST EZ-EFI MP system.

I didn't intend to be insulting or anything. Just stating that I like AC Cobras (who doesn't?), but there are so many interesting kit cars out there these days...was just curious about your choice.
Personally, if I was going to do that era I'd really like an FFR Type 65. Still a popular design, but I don't see them at every car show. I can understand not caring about a Cobra being 'common', though (really notsomuch; I don't think I've ever even seen one on the street)...if you want to build a custom vintage roadster, I can't really think of any better option. I'm just not much for topless roadsters, I guess.
427 is a cool choice. The big block MKIII route is definitely not very common.

So it's slower, uglier, and heavier than the last one?

Performance cars died in the late 90's thanks to all the regulations. Now they are bloated and ugly.

Supposedly, according to the article, it's actually lighter than the last one. I'm not so sure about that, and it would depend on which model they are comparing it to, but bravo if so. The hoodline is still too tall. That's because of pedestrian safety regulations, since getting hit by a low, sleek sports car is much worse than getting hit by a tall, ugly sports car.

I test drove the BRZ while looking for a DD. Meh, it's better than a Prius. I ended up with the Carrera S, but it was a tough choice between it and the CTS-V coupe.
Alert: My local Dodge dealer will have a Launch Edition Viper GTS in 12 days, so they say. That will likely be the case nationwide, if so. I just want to go check it out up close.

I was just pointing out that someone gave me shit for just saying I was doubtful that the interior was the marvel that the article/pictures seemed to indicate. No problem with the rest of the car; I quite like the looks and am sure it's a fucking blast to drive.
But wait; are you saying the FR-S isn't the best car ever? But it has THE WORLD'S FIRST HORIZONTALLY OPPOSED ENGINE! WITH FUEL INJECTION!
God Toyota has awful marketing.

Faster, prettier, lighter...and slightly more civilized.
