GTX-295 equivalent
I am looking to replace this card and want to know what the current equivalent would be. I lost half the card about 6 months ago, and now the fan is starting to go. I am thinking a 570 but am not really sure. Any advice would be great!

For no reason would I go for a 570 with the new generation of cards out. Best bang for buck right now is a 7850/7870 depending on your budget with a nice overclock. If you really want to go nVidia then the 660 or 660ti will keep you happy. Hope that helps!

A 570 or 7850 should be faster stock vs stock.

I would go for the 7850 and Asus as well MSI are some of the best choices for quality. If you do anything remotely close to using openGL such as old games ect you are in for a bad surprise. As for the 660 and 660Ti they can be underwhelming for the cost.

Gtx 660. GTx 570 is last gen, no point buying that. 660 is slightly faster, has more VRAM and consumes a lot less power

Common problem on those older dual planar cards unless he/she has the slightly newer single pcb model. The single pcb model is terrible for unexplained failures and general issues while the VHS style model was much easier to rebuild. As for Fermi it isn't complete crap but Kepler isn't that great either unless he only plays games.

Yes, one of the GPU's stopped working, I guess I could have been more clear about that. I am not as tech savy as you all on here which is why I came here to ask. I can tell you I bought this pc from Ibuypower about 3 years ago it's a core i7 (920), MSI x58 platinum motherboard, 6gb ram (I could add more). Anyhow; I wanted to stick with Nvidia since originally the system came with a Saphire Radeon card (I don't remember which off hand) and I had 3 out of box failures on the card. As for budget, I want to be under $300

for $300 i recommend a MSI, ASUS, or Sapphire HD 7950

If you must stick with NVIDIA then either the GTX 660 or the GTX 660Ti.
If you would be willing to go AMD I would recommend either the 7850 or the 7950. Those AMD cards are beast overclockers and there have been some great deals on AMD cards while Nvidia cards have not really had many deals.
