My hair is thinning...

... realistically what can I do? It's only in the front above my temples, giving me Mickey Mouse ears (just slightly - in fact I am the only one who sees this I am sure, but I notice hair come out every so often).

Age: More than 30 less than 40.

My father has a full head of jet dark hair in his 60s.

My grandfather had all his hair into his 60s... not sure what would have happened after that he passed at 66.

In that case my mother does not have thinning hair. Her father had most of his hair and started losing it in his 50s. He was bald by 70.

My mom and dad and all 4 of my grandparents have great full heads of hair. I'm 26 and starting to get some power alleys.
Any personal experience with rogaine or things like it?

Which is crazy because the men on my mom's side were bald by 30 and I still have lovey lustrous locks at 35. I blame it on my enormous penis.

at some point you'll have to embrace it and be proud. You can't hide forever without dropping major money.

At some point in your life, 99% of all men will lose their hair before they die. The only difference is that some men (like myself) lose their hair early, some men don't start losing their hair until well into the middle/later stages of their life, and some men die before they start losing their hair. But, at some point, you will start lose your hair. The same is true for women as well, but their hair tends to thin out and become more brittle with time, which is why you'll almost always see elderly ladies with short, thin hair.

Luckily for us, most women don't care as much as you might think, but there are a few things you'll need to consider.

1. The most important thing is to visit the barber often. You'll start to notice that the areas of your hair that begin to thin out also don't grow as fast, and an uneven head is not attractive! A clean, well groomed head is more attractive to women than having the actual hair itself.

2. Don't do things with your hair you know you can't pull off. Don't pull your hair over parts of your head to cover it up. Don't try growing it out if you know you can't. That's just disgusting.

3. Ditch the hair stylist and find a good barber. I used to go to places like Mastercuts and Supercuts for years until I found the joy and the glory of a true barber (yes this wasn't too long ago so I'm still excited about it). Barbers are generally more experienced at cutting men's hair, not that a hair stylist is incapable of cutting your hair, and tend to understand the unique needs of a man's thinning hair more-so than a stylist does. They also work with a blade, which in my opinion can provide a much cleaner look overall.
