7 miles today. Swallowed a bug during the run. That in of itself is not unusual as I have chowed down on my share of bugs while running/cycling. This bug, though, left a very bitter taste in the back of my throat, and couple of hours later, I was on the porcelain throne emergently clearing out my GI tract. Feels fine now, thankfully.

Good luck on the marathons, both of you! Which ones are you doing?

Should be well under based on your other times, assuming the course isn't too brutal.

26.2 miles today, I have no idea what my placing was but I finished in 4:19 and some change. The trails were actually tougher than I was expecting, this was really a good race - plenty challenging. I'll put my place up when I learn what it was.

+4 with my middle daughter
Pace was slow, but this run was more about the company!
Congratulations to everyone who raced this weekend! Results look good so far. Waiting to hear how Scorch did at Philly.

I used to run with my kids. I have 3 who all loved to hit the trails with their old man. I miss those days. Relish yours Mursilis.

Back in the swing of this +7 yesterday. After hurricanes, noreaster's and moving to a new house, I have gotten my groove back. Nothing else melts away the stress better then running.

Nice race Mega! Somehow I bet you're happy that the course was tougher than you anticipated, you weirdo!
I will add another 31 miles. Ran 2:40:58 at Philly, 6:08 average pace. 59 seconds slower than I was hoping for, but a PR by over a minute. I knew there were two decent hills at miles 8 and 10 which were no big deal, but there were a bunch of long, slow uphills from 16-22 that really tired me out. I was on pace for 2:39 through 22 or so, but then slowed down to 6:15s, then 6:30s by the end and just couldn't find anything else in my legs. I am more sore today than I have been since my first marathon, so it must have been a good hard effort! Now for a well-deserved week off.

Excellent work Scorch! You, sir, are my hero. I am also pretty beat up, but I'm going to try to jog tomorrow evening.
And, yes, the course being tougher did make me happy. That's what trail running is all about.
