Default usb wireless router?

I've been trying to find/googling a product I saw before - a usb wireless router (the size of a small usb wifi adapter) which you can plug into your laptop and give your cellphone/tablet wifi internet connection. Its quite handy while you are travelling.

You would get a usb adapter and put in ad-hoc mode and it will act as a hotspot.

Yeah I know that trick but is there a brand that does it all automatically and acts as a hotspot.
