then at 1000 you get a 50 dollar card. so 25 card for 250 is the max discount

If I spend $50, I get a card worth 10%, but if I spend $1000, I get a card worth 5% of my purchase.

Most promos increase the percentage as you go up a "tier" in spending.
it is funky I agree but if you link to it via a discover card you a flat 5% off and then the quite strange gift card pattern. the sweet spot is a 250 purchase. but if you want a samsung 840 ssd you can preorder it for 379 get a 25 dollar gift card and 5% off with your discover card or about 340.
free ship and no tax in most states (NY is one exception)
