Default Western Digital Red 2 TB drive $109.99 at Amazon

Looks like Amazon is matching Newegg's discount on 2 TB WD Reds.

http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digita...dp/B008JJLZ7G/

Qualifies for free postage [2-day if you're Prime]; also, may be tax-free in certain states where Newegg levies sales tax.

Seriously tempted to buy a couple more for the RAID-Z storage I'm building. Have noticed this past week brought better prices than usual for many hard drives -- are we finally resuming the drop towards pre-flood prices, or is it mainly to do with the approach of Black Friday?

Love how Amazon always steps up and matches the Egg. Every time, we win!

The WD Red is a NAS drive. Not sure what the difference is between that and a regulard drive but you can spend another $20 and get the 3TB WD Green, both 5400RPM

Western Digital Caviar Green 3 TB SATA III 64 MB Cache Bare/OEM Desktop Hard Drive - WD30EZRX = $129!

The WD Red drives have the same TLER feature (time limited error recovery) that the WD RE4 enterprise drives have.

Red = Drive with "Green" power consumption but also TLER
