Default Need Advice: Cisco|Linksys E2500 or E4200

I need to acquire a new wireless router for my home. Current wireless router is a Netgear Wireless N-150, which seems to be on its last leg. I am looking for a solid wireless router with about 4 LAN ports. Searching around on Anandtech I seem to have found the E2500 and the E4200 receive great reviews. I am fine spending up to $100 on a wireless router if the benefits of spending the extra money are there... but if I would only be spending more to just spend more money than I am happy with a less costly router.

My wireless usage is limited to a laptop, iPhone, and a TV with a wireless dongle for streaming netflix, etc.

I am open to your advice and suggestions as anandtech members have always provided very solid advice before I purchase.

The 4200 have few advanced features, like Giga capable switch for wired computers, and USB jack to plug an external drive to be uses as Network Storage (NAS).

From you description it looks like the 2500 will good enough.

I love my E4200. I've had it since very close to release and it's been dead nuts reliable. The deal breaker for me on the E2500 is the 10/100 ports. The E4200 also faster wireless data speeds.. Essentially if you don't need gig ethernet and the faster data transfers then the E2500 would be fine. The E2500 is perfectly fine for the internet, moving data around your network will be faster on the E4200 on both wired and wireless. Likely has better range too. Don't forget Linksys has a refurb store. $100 and $30 respectively for the routers your looking at.

Thanks for the advice... I opted for a refurbished E2500... I am sure it should do the job for my setup.
