How soon till we see basketball courts w/ads like a Nascar car?
basketball shown on tv.
ie: pro & college
theres lots of blank space thats prime real estate for ads.

He means how long till we see ads plastered on the field or court just like we see them plastered all over the body of a car in NASCAR.
I'm going to say not to long until they try it. Depending on how we react (public outcry) it maybe touch and go for a few years.

Iirc large ncaa logos were required removed from all courts last ncaa tournament because they were too slippery and causing players to fall. The temp logos/ads aren't going to arrive anytime soon until they are proven safe.

take a look at international sports - everything and everyone is covered in ads. it's only a matter of time until american sports' "the official whatever of whoever" is escalated to that level; when team owners decide the price is right to dilute their brands with their sponsors' brands.

Man I hate seeing the Burger King logo in the UFC octagon.. almost as much as I hate Arena's re-naming themselves. Like the Toronto Skydome is now called the Staple Centre or something.

There's alot of real estate on a football field too. Although ads on a football field would prob be easier in a dome on artificial turf. I think overall we'd prob see it on jerseys first, then prob on the court/field in a few years after. The problem I have, with jerseys at least, is what will the jerseys for the consumer look like? Right now, my Patrick Willis & Crabtree jersey's are nice. I'd hate to buy a jersey that's got the gatorade logo/pizza hut/taco bell logos on them.

that will slow the price increase a little bit. please note that i didn't say "stop the price jacking" or "lower the price". nfl owners will charge you $55 for parking to facilitate the luxury of giving them hundreds more.
