Prototype bundle (Steam) $9.99 at Amazon
There's a prototype bundle on Amazon that's on sale for $9.99
Comes with Prototype 2 + dlc and Prototype 1.
There's a Steamworks version of the bundle and a Mixed DRM version.

Prototype 1 AND Prototype 2 AND all the DLC for only $7.49?
Amazon is killing it with these deals. Like the Square Enix pack they had earlier, I predict this will sell out very quickly.
Edit: This sale is only open for 2 hours. Or so I hear. (Aaaand I just realized this was already mentioned in the OP. Reading fail)

Saw it on Slickdeals earlier and jumped on it.
I've not played either game. Which is better - P1 or P2?

Well, if you look at the steam forums for P2 http://forums.steampowered.com/forum...357&p=32004189, it seems to be a really, really crappy port, and if you manage to not have it crash then you should run out and buy a lottery ticket.
It seems to have issues with memory leaks, core count, and other things.
What is worse, is the developer is now dead, so no fixes it seems.

Keep in mind I haven't played Prototype 2 but I heard it wasn't that great, however I greatly enjoyed the first game back when it was released. I loved the open world feel and the different abilities.

Played 1 for an hour and not one snag.

Damn, I missed it. Would have picked that up in a heartbeat.
Loved the first Prototype, although many people gave it bad reviews, but couldn't quite bring myself to buy the 2nd even @ $20 when it was on sale (because of worse reviews).

The bundle will be coming back for a longer sale at $9.99. The $7.50 price was just for that few hour window for the flash deal.

Indeed it does!
I just started playing Prototype 1, and it's a blast. I'm surprised no one ever told me how fun this game was. It plays like a good, old-fashioned "superhero game" from the PS1 or N64 or something. In fact it reminds me a lot of Spiderman 2. It doesn't try to be realistic at all, and it doesn't try to be too dark 'n' edgy. It's just balls-of-the-walls fun. A game that revels in being a game.

Grabbed it. Loved the first, skipped the second since the protagonist actually seemed less likable then Mercer, which takes a bit of work. Thanks!

Well, beat the second. Gameplay is one step forward, one step back. The plot is awful and completely inconsistent with the first game. $10 is about what it was worth.

I wasn't a huge fan of the first one, as battle difficulty just jumped all over the place and the story was pretty awful. The battle system itself was pretty fun though, I felt like it was a great game that ended up mediocre because of lack of polishing of the product (or the dev team liked it as it was).
Not biting on this since I already own the first and I haven't heard especially good things about 2.
