It isn't the v2 version, if that matters.

Err, yes it is.
They eliminated the "V2" moniker. This one has exactly the same specs as the V2. Wonder why they did it, though.

Err, no it isn't.
This is the newest version, made by Chicony. There are no solid reviews on it yet.

It's V3, then.
Interesting. Wonder why they'd replace their current Seasonic-made model.

I don't know, but the array of different TX750 versions is freaking confusing.
TBH, I've never even heard of Chicony.

Interesting, I haven't seen semi passive 80+ Bronze units before.

When I googled Chicony power supply it took me to Hipro.com. I've heard of Hipro, I just don't know if they are any good.

that's the main reason i only had my TX650 for a day and resold it - it didn't have semi passive cooling, and it sounded like a leaf blower, even at low loads. its about time they brought this feature to a product at this price point. that said, i'm still going to stay away from these TX750 units b/c they aren't SeaSonic built anymore...not that i've heard bad things about Chicony (never heard of them), but i wouldn't get peace of mind out of such a purchase.
i couldn't be happier than i am w/ my SeaSonic X650's and X750's.

Yeah, if you're willing to pay ~$100, the Seasonic X-series is a no-brainer.
