PS3 price drop coming soon?
My 60gb launch PS3 finally died, rlod. I am ready to buy one now, or is there going to be a price drop for holidays?

Nope. Sony said they had no plans to drop the price when the most recent slim model came out. There's been no rumours of price drops either.

You might be able to get a $199 deal on Black Friday. Might.

I'd like to get one of the new ones without the game, and save cash. If I could get the 250gb without Uncharted 3 (already have) for $200 that would be awesome. And they would sell much better.

Huh? The link I posted confirms the 250gb bundle is $200. Just sell the games on craigslist or eBay if you don't want them.

Same deal was offered last year and it sold out pretty much everywhere.

I picked one up back in the Summer from Gamestop of all places for $199, with a free game (MK), which was just too good to pass up, so those deals are out there every now and then.

That's a Black Friday deal. I don't participate in the circus that is Black Friday. Just sell it for $200 without a game straight up.

Then look for an "online Black Friday" deal from Newegg, Amazon, etc.
There will be deals, with one or more of games, $50 gift cards, and straight discounts.

Yeah I got one from Newegg last BF for $199. A whole lot better than standing in line somewhere.

Sounds good, I'll try. Somewhere other than Newegg though, they charge my state tax. :/
Edit, Target pics have been posted. I already have all three games, but I would still take it for $200. Wonder if available online?

In the past, Sony has denied any plans for a price drop until the day it actually happened so I wouldn't go by what they say.
But other than Black Friday sales, I don't see any changes in the price until maybe around E3 when I expect the PS4 to be announced.
