Just refinanced my house, and it was all done with modern communication methods
Pretty much all communication with all parties was done via email or texting. Until the final signings (like 100 pages worth), we emailed forms and pictures back and forth.
And my final contract was given to me on a flash drive. So much better than a stack of paper!

I just tried to buy my dads house . Let him live in it . He gave it to me. I was not expecting that , I wonder what my 2sisters and 2 brothers have to say about this.
I stayed they left, I win they lose . Life is so strange

Nice! If only more banks/organizations could get with the times and do this.

We refi'd last month, same deal.
It was all emails and facebook, except for the "notary needed" parts.
Although ours was given to us on a CD as opposed to a flash drive.
I think it's win/win really, we save the headache and the banks save a buttload in overhead.

When I did my mortgage earlier this year it was all done via email and fax except for closing. And this was with Wells Fargo, not exactly the most modern functioning bank out there.

I like to get on a call with my loan company. Email and phone is my choice.
I don't like texting because it's not as good for records.

I'd still rather have the hard paper records for closing documents. Store the scans on flash in safe deposit ox.

Did this myself for a new purchase in August/September of this year. I received digital and paper final copies however.
All of my inspection reports came via email, we did the offer via email, provided all my financials via email.
Email and PDFCreator are my best friends.
