Most of these I got for my brother and he never accepted them, sick of him not figuring out how to accept the gifts, or giving a shit that I gave them, hehe.

So, I'd rather find someone who'd appreciate them.

As for my contest?

Answer me this:

If you could go back to any place and period in history, bringing with you 3 items from the modern world, when and where would you go, and what would those three items be, and why?

I'm setting my iPhone alarm for about 24 hours from the time I'm posting this, I'll make a decision then. (Unless there are no entries by that time in which case I'll extend it a day or two)

I'd go to Paris in 1840, bring with me treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis and cystic fibrosis to give to Chopin, bring recordings of his music and others for him to listen, and a bunch of spices cause I imagine food then must have been damn bland. Chopin was a musical genius, and he had a ton more in him before he died at 39.

I would go back to 1969 whenjhon lennon met Yoko Ono, and i would take back the most beautiful woman out there nowadays to make him fall in love with her and avoid Yoko Ono (preventing the band from breaking up!), i would take a weapon to kill the guy that would kill him many years later and i would take a HD recording kit to record all their music

MAN I HAD TO THINK A LOT to come up with this shitty answer, and research a bit about the years in which lennon died, met yoko ono and those things cause i didnt remember. my idea first was to go to the day he was killed and dump yoko ono, but he died in 1980 and the band was broke up in 1870 so i had to go before that...

damn going to the past is hard

Do we get to return from this trip or is it a one way? I would go back to prehistoric times to say the Jurassic period. I'd bring with me some modern medicine, an HD video camera(with lots of extra batteries and storage) and some heavy weapons for protection. This way I could film live dinosaurs and learn more about their actual behaviors as well as record more information about vegatation of the period. Then hopefully come back to present day with said video recordings to present to scientists and museums!

I'm in for LA Noire! Looks like a fantastic game!!

Side note, i was looking at the game description of dota 2 on steam and it says I already own the game. I never purchased it so did they just give out random copies of it? If so how do I see if i have extra copies to gift or just the one.

I think I would go to 1920 Germany and take Hitler out. As far as what I would take with me, I would take 3 identical things (good to have back ups): Amazon Kindles loaded with every engineering and medical text book I could find.

I don't know if I would make things better or worse but it sure as heck would be different.
