It's fine to say that Android has 75% market share, but if you're trying to measure benefit to Google, then China probably doesn't count. Those Android devices use competing services for search, maps, etc. The Chinese market may very well be the most profitable market in the world at some point, but if Android phones sold in China don't use Google, Google isn't going to profit from it. How is that insanity?

Sorry, but none of this makes any sense. He asked what was Google's marketshare of the world smartphone market. ONCE AGAIN: OS-wise, 75%

He's asking what share of the market Google devices have. They don't make any themselves, but most would probably count the Nexus devices since Google seems to be setting the price for them.
It comes down to what you're trying to count. In this case, I don't think he's after OS market share, which has become more apparently with some of his additional posts.
